For Providers

The development of provider training focused on two topics -- disability etiquette and communication with people with I/DD.  IHPP targets federally qualified health clinics and other sites that provide healthcare to underserved population in its outreach and the live delivery of this training. 

Relationship-Centered Communication defined and Framework for Equity-Centered health Communication.

The Department of Health, Division of Health Promotion and Chronic Disease has committed to securing training opportunities at federally qualified health centers.  Work with the Department of Health, Bi-State Primary Care, and professional associations for healthcare providers to secure additional invitations. Much of the work of IHPP coincides with the findings in the Vermont 2024 State Health Assessment and Improvement Plan.
